Beautiful looking drum,made of spun copper and hand engraved traditional Turkish design. Copper,being "warm" metal ,in combination with it's large head and long narrow neck-gives it a deep,earthy,warm sounds with nice mellow teks on edge. Works great for deep doums and fine finger work,turkish sound or close to Iranian Zarb or... Many times can be used as a base partner for other Egyptian style doumbeks with higher pitch (ie:A12 series,A19series...) Mylar head 10" diam x 18" tall.Comes with tuning key and soft case. |
